The silence of the night, 2012
A woman sits by the bed of her lover and talks to him. He is unconcious, breathing, maybe listening, we don’t know. She talks to him about pop and death, about illness and hope, about why he must live.
Almost Alaska, 2020
(winner: Hans-Fallada Preis 2022)
An illustrator/photographer in her mid forties is travelling to the Arctic and wants to reach Alaska. There are many obstacles in her way, the biggest probably invisible.
Hotel Paraíso, 2024
Frieda is the house sitter of an empty hotel at the Algarve. She is tired and thinks about what „Heimat“ really means. Only a black dog and the Atlantic keep her company. Or not?
